Thanksgiving
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you all did too. It really gave me some time to reflect on the past year and so many wonderful things have taken place. The birth of Jack topping the list, I can't even begin to imagine our lives without him now that he is here. Our moves...realizing what is most important in life - happiness, for us that means being close to friends and family. Ella and Zofia growing closer and bonding as sisters. John and I strengthening our marriage. Life is truly great and we have so very much to be thankful for!!

With the holidays beginning next week I am looking for some great wines under $30. So if you have a recommendation post it here. We just had one last night - a 2007 Pinot Noir from Wines by Joe $20

"I put it in my pocket"
Fellow parents know what it is like trying to talk on the phone with kids - next to impossible. So the other day when I got to talk to my Mom for 20 minutes uninterrupted I was thrilled. E was at school, J was sleeping & Z was playing nicely with E's LPS (Littlest Pet Shop). So I get off the phone happy I got to chat and drink my morning coffee hot, a great way to start the day until..... I hear Z say, "I put it in my pocket." Hmmm she doesn't have pants with pockets today, but never the less we start getting some chores done and I notice she needs a new diaper. At this point she has made the pocket comment a few times and I think poor kid doesn't know what a pocket is.
Well, I go to change her diaper and she did have a "pocket" her diaper!! She put 3 LPS pieces (which if you are not familiar with are super small) in her poopy diaper. She was as pleased as punch with herself and now tries to put all sorts of goodies in her "pocket".
Serves Mommy right for talking on the phone for 20 minutes, and the LPS pieces were tossed in the trash, lets hope E doesn't notice!

For those who don't know
Since it will come up here for those who do not know E was diagnosed with SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder). I didn't want it treated like a secret becuase it isn't but it does affect our daily lives and I am sure will be a topic here. If you want to learn more check out the link below.

Packing - seriously
Ok, so I am the packer for our family of 5. Two adults and three kids, should be easy right? WRONG! I started packing for our 2 day trip to Maine 2 days ago and am still not finished. Never mind that E packed her own bag (she actually did a great job, even remembering socks and underwear with an extra pair just in case). I still had to pack another one for her so the clothes actually matched and were seasonally appropriate. So she now has 2 bags. Z nicley unpacked her bag after I had folded it all and had it almost zipped up - obviously those little fingers can fit into any crack and the pull the zipper across to open up the bag. J is still so little he requires mucho crappo but he won't complain that I forgot something essential like the shirt at the bottom of the drawer that hasn't been worn or seen in months. Big J has been working late hours so I laid out some clothes for him to choose from (note: he can pack for himself and usually does). So off I go to finish. Now to sippy cups and baby monitors!!
But a trip to Maine is well worth it - we love it there and our hosts are amazing! We might even fit in a trip to LL BEAN!!

Finally decided
I was trying to figure out the format I was going to follow for this blog but since I haven't decided yet I figured I would let it sort itself out and see where this takes me.
